The local umbrellas that were available in the market costed too much that even children had to get drained during the monsoon season to reach their schools. The working class, who had to walk to their workplaces would suffer from burning sunlight and heavy rain in Kerala. An ex-Army person’s vision to find an affordable solution to overcome heavy rains and sunny days of Kerala is the origin of Peet & Joe umbrellas in 1972. Mr. C.C.
